We would like to use Open-E both for iSCSI and SMB on the same Host with different Volume Groups. For iSCSI we want to use IP Addresses outside the standard network range and in an own VLAN, which is best practice, but for SMB we would like to use the standard network range for the clients on this installation. With former installations this was not a problem, because we assign dedicated 1 Gig NICs for SMB and iSCSI, but in this case we use one Dual 10 Gig NIC, which is trunked and connected to two switches. So we have only one Bond with one IP Address.

Is there a way to use more than one IP Address on one interface in an Multihoming configuration ? This should be not a problem in a Linux based software and is also standard for other unified SAN solutions like NetApp. How can this be done with Open-E ?
